Getting there

Glenorchy is 46 km from central Queenstown, about 45 min to 1 h by car (Glenorchy-Queenstown Road, sealed and winding, no fuel until Glenorchy). Without a car: No public bus. Track-transport shuttles and day tours run from town, mostly in the Great Walks season.
