What is inside
The same rule as every guide on this site: real numbers, dated, sourced, no hype. Each issue takes about three minutes to read and has five parts.
- The verdict. One decision a week: Milford by coach, plane or not at all; the bungy or keep the money; a spring ski pass or the free walk; a car, the bus or neither. The price of each option with the date we checked it and where, the time it takes, the queue, a plain yes or no for this week, and the local’s workaround.
- The free alternative. Every verdict names the option that costs nothing, with its own time and distance. It is a real choice, never padding.
- The conditions. Three lines that set the verdict: the forecast, the NZTA line on the roads that matter, and whether the airport looks fine. Each with its source and the time it was issued.
- Three things this week favours. A walk for the clearest day, the bus day out for the wet one, and what is on with a checked organiser source.
