Queenstown Marathon
Marathon, half marathon, 10 km and a 2.2 km kids run, finishing at the Queenstown Memorial Centre. The town is at capacity for the weekend.

Getting there
Organiser shuttles run to the starts ($20 for the marathon and half, $14 for the 10 km); expect road closures along the lake until early afternoon and book beds weeks ahead. Orbus Route 1 runs town, Frankton and the airport as normal outside the closures.
Fares are $2.50 with a Bee Card on every Orbus route; the bus guide has the routes and last buses, and the events calendar the rest of the year. Dates are shown in New Zealand time; confirm with the organiser before travelling for an event.
