In short: In the centre, Four Square on Shotover Street (7am to 10pm). For a proper shop, Frankton: Woolworths at Five Mile, New World and Pak’nSave at Remarkables Park, all 7am to 10pm daily, 15 to 20 minutes from town on Orbus Route 1 (Remarkables Park) or Route 3 (Grant Road) for $2.50 with a Bee Card. After 10pm, the two Night ’n Day stores in the centre are open 24 hours.

How locals do it
- Arriving by air. New World and Pak’nSave are a few minutes’ walk from the terminal at Remarkables Park; shop before the Route 1 bus into town and you skip the town-centre prices entirely.
- Staying in the centre. Four Square for the daily top-up, one Route 1 trip to Remarkables Park for the week’s shop, or Route 1 to Frankton Hub and Route 3 to Grant Road for Woolworths.
- From Kelvin Heights or Quail Rise. Route 3 passes all three: Grant Road for Woolworths, Hawthorne Drive for Pak’nSave, Remarkables Park for New World. The bus guide has every route and the transfer rule.
- Late night. Everything closes at 10pm; the Night ’n Day pair covers the gap at dairy prices.

Is there a supermarket in Queenstown town centre?
One: Four Square Queenstown on Shotover Street at the Stanley Street corner, open 7am to 10pm daily. It is a small-format grocer, so for a big shop most people go to Frankton: Orbus Route 1 takes 13 to 16 minutes from Stanley Street to Frankton Hub and 23 to 29 minutes to Red Oaks Drive at Remarkables Park, by the ORC timetable.
Where are the big supermarkets in Queenstown?
All in Frankton: Woolworths at Five Mile (30 Grant Road), and New World (1/12 Hawthorne Drive) and Pak'nSave (302 Hawthorne Drive) at Remarkables Park, next to the airport. All three are open 7am to 10pm every day.

Orbus Route 1 runs from the town centre through Frankton Hub to the airport and Remarkables Park roughly every 15 minutes, $2.50 with a Bee Card; New World and Pak'nSave are at the Remarkables Park stop. For Woolworths, transfer at Frankton Hub to Route 3, which stops on Grant Road at Five Mile (the transfer is free within 45 minutes). Route 3 also stops on Hawthorne Drive behind Pak'nSave. Coming from the airport, New World and Pak'nSave are a short walk.
