About Treble Cone
Treble Cone is the furthest of the four from Queenstown, past Wanaka up the Matukituki valley, about an hour and a half each way. It is the field for strong skiers: off-piste terrain, steep pitches and the longest groomed runs in the country, with a view down Lake Wanaka that the others cannot match.
It shares its lift ticket with Cardrona (from $184 for an adult day in 2026) and runs the shortest season of the four, 27 June to 27 September 2026. The access road is unsealed and steep; a free shuttle runs from the base car park.
