What to do in March
- Walk everything. Ben Lomond, Queenstown Hill and the Routeburn in stable weather without January's heat.
- Ride to the wineries. Arrow River Bridges and Gibbston River Trail during harvest.
- Glenorchy. The road and the head of the lake are at their calmest; the track bus runs to the end of April.
- Bus, not car. $2.50 with a Bee Card on every Orbus route; parking in the centre is charged 8am to 6pm.
